Which witch?

Ms McGhee’s 3rd year class are starting to study The Crucible by Arthur Miller. The play is set in Salem, Massachusetts, and concerns the witchcraft trials of 1692. In all, twenty people were executed as a result of being accused of being witches.

The 3rd years were finding out about the background of the trials in 1692, but also about its author, Arthur Miller, and the times he lived in.

If you’re interested in witch trials, have a look at this wonderful website from National Geographic that puts the reader into the place of one of the accused. Worth exploring.
