More Vikings

More 1st year classes are investigating the Vikings. Some of the classes have finished their research and are starting to create presentations about life in Jarlshof, with each person taking responsibility for part of the whole work.

Part of the task is to talk as if they were really living there, which means changing the information in their notes from “The Vikings eat … ” to information on their powerpoint as “We eat…”. It’s brilliant to see some people really using their imagination and getting into character.

Just to make them feel at home, here’s some more Viking information.

Did you know that the Vikings sent secret messages in Norse code?
Did you know that Viking toddlers went to Norsery?

Unfortunately, nobody knows the answer to the historical mystery posed by Mr Smith’s class.
Was a female Viking a Viqueen?

(And before you ask, yes, they are all jokes!)
