Back to the Middle Ages for Mr Krawczyk’s 1st year history investigation. The class split into expert groups to create posters showing how medieval crime and punishment, medicine, religion, and trade and technology is different from modern versions, using books, artefacts and the internet.

Pupils chose how to structure their information, using diagrams, illustrations, mindmaps and bullet points.

The next stage was get back into their home groups and tour round the posters, deciding what was the most important evidence from each poster.

Finally, each group put together a guide for time travellers, warning them what to look out for if they travelled back to the middle ages.
