Virginia by Sherri and Ceri

Virginia is known as a state for lovers. It is a U.S state on the Atlantic Coast of the Southern United States. It is nicknamed “Mother Of Presidents” as eight U.S presidents were born there. The climate of Virginia becomes increasingly warmer and more humid farther south and east. Weather varies from −3 °C in January to 30 °C in July. The Atlantic ocean has a strong effect on eastern and southeastern areas weather in the state. Virginia has an average of 35 to 45 days of thunderstorms a year particuarly in the western side of the state.

The first people reportedly arrived in Virginia over 12,000 years ago. It is divided into 95 countries and 39 independent cities.

Virginia has North and West Virginia, in both of these states there are many hills and deserts. Virgina owns many deserts, one of which is Mount Desert in Kanawha.

The boys struggled to find water until the water truck came, which is just like the deserted areas of Virginia where they also lack water.The weather was outstandingly hot and that is just like the weather conditions in some parts of Virginia.

There is many suitable places in the hills of Virginia where this movie could have possibly been filmed to make the perfect atmosphere.We think that there is a strong chance that Holes was filmed in Virginia, as there is many rocky hills and deserted areas.

Sherri and Ceri hope to travel there one day to adventure the Virginia states.
